Consider one's process in recalling an event. One might ask "what was I doing when it happened?" and proceed to run through all of the moments and snippets leading up to the memory one is trying to recall. I personally am not purely a visual learner, so for me this process becomes a flurry of things: gestures, sights, phrases and sounds, tactile qualities, how I was feeling, breathing, my thought process at the time... many of which are regressed to one degree or another. These images attempt to visualize some such memories.
Images from this series were bound directly to aluminum. The tension between the cloth and soft forms in the photos on brushed metal is extremely interesting.
